Form 7 Crossword Competition
On Saturday, 9 April 2011, there was a new and exciting competition for the 7th formers. In 90 minutes, the pairs of students had to do crosswords which consisted of 100 words. The contestants were given a down-and-across crossword, explanations of the words in it, Estonian-English and English-Estonian dictionaries.
There were 15 teams from 7 schools.
The best of the best were:
1. Saamuel Rammo and Markus Mõistus
(Võru Kreutzwald Gymnasium , Marju Purge and Ruth Talmet)
2. -3. Mered Migel Kalinin and Joosep Sepp
(Võru Kreutzwald Gymnasium, Marju purge)
2. -3. Maige Mitt and Elis Tiivoja
(Rõuge Basic School, Maiu Pajumets)
4. Carmen Oroperv and Jarl Teesalu
(Võru Kesklinna Gymnasium, Jana Kalk)
Everybody had a lot of fun! :)
Thanks to all the teachers who encouraged their students to participate and those who helped to look through the answers and count the points.
Very special thank you to Maive who came up with this wonderful idea and did the hard work of creating the crossword!
